2. General information on data processing
We process our users’ personal data only to the extent necessary to provide a functioning website and our content and services. Processing is based on consent, on steps taken prior to entering into a contract, or on a legitimate interest (Art. 6(1) GDPR). Data is passed to the service providers named in this policy to the extent necessary; any other transfers take place only where there is an appropriate legal basis.
3. Hosting and server log files
This website runs on a server we rent from Hostinger International Ltd., 61 Lordou Vironos Street, 6023 Larnaca, Cyprus (server location: EU). We have concluded a data processing agreement with the host pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. When you visit the website, the web server automatically records information sent by your browser in server log files: IP address of the accessing device, date and time of access, name and URL of the file accessed, referrer URL, browser used and, where applicable, operating system, and name of your internet access provider. This data is processed solely for technical purposes, to ensure smooth operation and to keep our systems secure, and is deleted after 14 days at the latest, unless a security-related analysis is required. The legal basis is our legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
4. Fonts
This website only uses fonts hosted locally on the server (Fixel, Newsreader). No connection is made to Google Fonts or similar external font providers, and no IP address is transferred to third parties for this purpose.
5. Enquiry form and contacting us
You can send us an enquiry through the “Plan a night” form. The details you enter (type of enquiry, location, date, number of guests, budget range, message, name, email address and, optionally, phone number) are stored on our server and sent to us by email so that we can process your enquiry and handle any follow-up questions. The form does not set cookies and does not pass any data to third parties. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps prior to entering into a contract) and otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The same applies to enquiries by email. We delete the data once it no longer needs to be stored, or restrict processing where statutory retention obligations apply.
6. WhatsApp
If you use the WhatsApp link, the WhatsApp app opens on your device. Only then is data transferred to WhatsApp Ireland Limited (4 Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Ireland); WhatsApp’s privacy policy applies. Simply visiting this website does not transfer any data to WhatsApp.
7. Linked external platforms
This website contains simple text links to Audiomack and other platforms. Content from these platforms is not embedded. The privacy policy of the respective provider only applies once you actively click one of these links.
8. Cookies, consent and Google services
We use Complianz and the WP Consent API to manage your cookie choices. Technically necessary cookies store your consent or refusal. In the banner, you can allow all optional categories with “Accept”, refuse them with “Reject”, or choose them individually under “Customize”. Statistics and marketing are disabled by default. Under “Manage consent” you can change your choice or withdraw your consent with effect for the future at any time.
Google Analytics 4: We use Google Analytics via Google’s Site Kit to understand how our website is used. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. If you have given consent for statistics, this may include processing page views, interactions, device and browser information, and cookie identifiers. Analytics cookies such as _ga and _ga_H4B91BWNRS are used to recognise browsers and sessions; their default lifetime set by Google is two years and may be extended on repeat visits. The legal basis for optional cookies and consent-based analytics is your consent pursuant to § 25(1) TDDDG (German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act) and Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.
Google Consent Mode: Site Kit passes the statistics and marketing categories selected via Complianz and the WP Consent API on to Google. The signals analytics_storage, ad_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization are set to denied until you make a choice. If you refuse consent, the relevant analytics and advertising cookies are not enabled. However, the Consent Mode in use may still send cookieless status and measurement signals to Google; refusing consent therefore does not necessarily mean that no connection to Google takes place at all.
Google Tag Manager: Site Kit loads the container GTM-KWW4TPTF for the technical management of tags. As of 10 September 2026, this container has not been published; no published container tags are currently executed from it. The marketing category controls the corresponding Google consent signals. The fact that this category is shown does not in itself mean that an advertising campaign or a remarketing tag is currently active.
Google may also process data on servers outside the EU/EEA. Information on Google’s processing and transfer mechanisms can be found in the Google Privacy Policy and under data transfer frameworks. More information on the cookies we use and on how to change your choice can be found in our cookie policy, which you can open from the consent banner.
9. Your rights
Within the scope of the statutory provisions, you have the right at any time to access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR) and data portability (Art. 20 GDPR), and the right to object to processing (Art. 21 GDPR). You can withdraw any consent you have given at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The competent authority is the Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht (BayLDA), the Bavarian data protection authority, Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach.
