Solomon Abiodun sings as King of Men. Afrosounds, Afrobeats, highlife — live, with a rotating band. A trio for a lounge. Seven on stage for a hall. Same name, same standard.
The act.
Nobody in the family went to music school. They learned in church choirs — most of the family sing, men and women. That is where the sound comes from. On stage it is a call and answer: the band answers, the room answers, nobody competes. The sky is large for everyone to fly.
Line-up — rotating; sized to the room and the budget.
Set — 30 to 90 minutes, own songs and Afrobeats / highlife standards.
Languages — English, Pidgin, Edo; German for the room.
