johnny, to most people who know him.
The name was given.
He did not choose it. In his words: “The name King of Men comes from the way people see me. I’m out for boys, for men, for women, for everybody. I stand for truth. So a couple of people came together, and it came like an award name.”
Different communities gave him different names — Johnny in Europe, JJ and King of Men in Nigeria. This site has one front door. Nobody is asked to stop using the name they gave him.
Klassikol — because we deal in classic things. Not classical music. Classic as in well cut, well finished, held to a standard.
Both sides of the road.
Most people can do one side. A promoter in Munich who books African acts. A manager in Lagos with European plans. Klassikolmusik Entertainment is registered in Germany and in Nigeria. Solomon is a registered Veranstalter here, and the promoters in Benin City know him there. The business is the road between the two.
Where it comes from.
Most of the family are musicians, men and women. Nobody trained formally. The school was the church choir. That is where the warm, non-competitive voice comes from — and it runs through everything on this site.
